files.dyl.blue (“the service”) is an invite-only file host run as a hobby project by a private individual in the Netherlands (“I”, “me”). By creating an account or uploading files you agree to these terms. If something is unclear, email contact@dyl.blue.
You keep all rights to what you upload. You give me permission to store, copy, process (for example to make thumbnails or resized previews) and deliver your files to anyone who has the link, only as far as needed to run the service. That permission ends when you delete the file, apart from short-lived copies in caches and backups.
Files are public. Anyone with a link can view and download them, and links can be shared further. Don't upload anything you want to keep private.
I can remove content and suspend or close accounts that break these rules or put the service or its users at risk.
To report a file or profile, email the link and the reason to contact@dyl.blue. I review every report and remove content that breaks the law or these terms. When I remove something you uploaded, I'll tell you what was removed and why, unless the law or the situation makes that inappropriate. You can reply to that message if you think I got it wrong.
This is a best-effort hobby project. I do my best to keep it running and your files safe, but I can't guarantee uptime or that files will never be lost. Keep your own copies of anything important.
If I ever shut the service down, I'll give at least 30 days' notice so you can download your files, and refund any prepaid supporter time you can no longer use.
The service is provided as is. As far as the law allows, I'm not liable for indirect damage or lost data, and my total liability is limited to what you paid for the service in the 12 months before the damage happened. None of this limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as for intent or gross negligence, or your rights as a consumer.
You can stop using the service and ask me to delete your account at any time. I can suspend or close accounts that break these terms, right away for serious violations and otherwise after a warning. If I close a paid account without it being your fault, I'll refund the prepaid time you can no longer use.
I may update these terms. For changes that matter, I'll let you know at least 14 days in advance in the app or by email. If you don't agree, you can cancel and stop using the service before they apply.
These terms are governed by Dutch law. If you're a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country you live in. How your data is handled is explained in the privacy policy.
